The WordCount Blogathon starts in May

I first saw this on Twitter from #carsonbrackney. So, I went to Michelle Rafter’s WordCount blog to read more. It’s an interesting idea, and I thought I’d give it a shot. I need to be posting regularly on this blog, so this may give me the incentive I need.

Basically, you have to do a blog post every day in May. Yep, that’s 31 blog posts….which, right now, is more than I have total on this blog. So, hopefully, this exercise will give my blog the shot in the arm that it needs.

For signing up, you get a nifty badge for your blog, such as the one in my sidebar. There will also be giveaways, guest post exchanges, and Michelle is even providing daily themes, which is good since I’ll probably need some help.

This is the third year of the WordCount Blogathon, and it’s a pretty cool idea. Michelle even gives tips on what you need to do if you want to host your own blogathon.

Check it out, and sign up if you are up to the challenge.
