Maybe things are finally looking up.
As indicated in my last post, my husband got a job which he started a week ago. We did find out on Friday, however, that he has to continue driving an hour each way, for another couple of weeks anyway, until he finishes training. After that, he’ll be located here in town. It’ll be hard, since we only have one running vehicle at the moment, but we’ll work it out.
On my job front, I start a texting job tonight. I’ve wanted to do this for a while now, but could never get on with anyone. Then, I passed the test this morning for another WAH position, a search engine evaluator. All I need to do with that one is fax my W9. We don’t have a fax machine, so I need to go to the library. Again, since hubby will have the car in another town, that will be a trick. Guess I’ll be learning the city bus system. Anyway, once I get the W9 faxed, I can start working.
And, I scored a writing client today as well. It’s a short-term assignment ~ 16 articles due in two weeks, but they are short articles (1 page), so the writing will be relatively simple. I’ll have to do some research, but it shouldn’t be too difficult.
On another note, the job I interviewed for a couple of weeks ago finally called today. It was a rejection ~ I already knew that ~ but she wanted to tell me I was a great candidate, but they hired internally. And, she wanted permission to pass my name along for a video/editing/broadcast teaching position they are creating. Of course I said yes. Here you only need a 4-year degree (in anything) and experience (in the field you want to teach), plus pass a test, to get a teaching certificate. Since I have a quarter century experience in television, they say I’m qualified. Finally, I’m qualified to do something!
