My favorite flowers

I love flowers. My favorite flower varies on my mood, the time of year, and the occasion.

I love lilacs, but prefer them on the bush.  Every house in which I lived in the Midwest had lilac bushes. They are fragrant, and I love the smell.  They don’t last very long once cut though, so they are not used very often in bouquets.

Another favorite garden flower of mine is the Lily of the Valley.  It was my mom’s favorite flower, and we always had a small patch of them near our garage when I was growing up.

For bouquets of flowers, my favorite is gerbera daisies. To me, they are happy flowers. Flowers generally signify spring and new life, and I love their freshness.  I try to have at least one plant or bouquet in my house all the time.

1800flowers.com has some great flower bouquets, plants, and even candy available as gifts.  You don’t need to have a special occasion to send flowers to someone you love.
